Going With the Flow: Letting Intuition Lead Your Life
There’s this idea floating around the spiritual world that “going with the flow” means lighting incense, chanting affirmations, and letting the universe do all the work while you recline on a cosmic chaise lounge. Let’s be clear, going with the flow is not passive. It’s powerful. It’s raw. It’s bold.
And for me? It was a battle.
For years, I couldn’t even see the river, let alone let it carry me.
When the Flow Is a Distant Fantasy
I spent years, and I mean years, in a world that never fit me. Suits. Conference rooms. Soul-numbing office politics. Meetings with people who thought condescension was a leadership style.
I had gut feelings, sure. Inner nudges. Visions. I ignored them. Everyone around me told me to be practical. That intuition was a hobby, not a way of life. That my energy work, my meditations, my love for crystals and the sound of rain on pavement—those were cute little distractions from the “real world.”
And for a while, I believed them. I tried to conform. I dimmed. I lied about who I was to make others feel comfortable. I even talked myself into thinking that was success.
The truth? It sucked.
Intuition Doesn’t Always Scream, However It Persists
Here’s what I’ve learned; your intuition won’t drag you by the hair. It won’t smack you upside the head with a divine stick (well, not often). What it will do is keep tapping you. Whispering. Giving you stomach flips, chills, dreams, signs, and internal “hell no” moments.
If you’re in the wrong environment, those whispers get drowned out.
I had to remove myself from situations and people that were choking my intuitive calls. People who wanted me to be someone I’m not. People who were uncomfortable with my truth. People who couldn’t control me, so they tried to confuse me.
And let’s be real, some of them were damn good at it.
I knew. I always knew. I didn’t want to believe that people I cared about were manipulating me. Controlling me. Trying to keep me small. It wasn’t until the proof stacked high—betrayals, lies, gaslighting—that I finally said, “Enough.”
That’s when I moved. Not just physically—spiritually, emotionally, energetically. I walked away.
I Could Help Others… However, Ignored Myself
I’ve helped people find their purpose, their path, their magic. For years, I was ignoring my own. I thought if I gave enough to others, maybe I’d feel full. Maybe someone would turn around and say, “Now it’s your turn.”
Spoiler… that’s not how it works.
Intuition doesn’t wait for permission. It waits for readiness. And readiness doesn’t come from comfort—it comes from action.
One moment at a time, I started choosing myself. I started trusting those gut feelings. I stopped asking for approval. I stopped explaining myself to people who were committed to misunderstanding me.
And that’s when things started to flow.
A Vision, a Job, and a Gut Punch
The flow really showed up when I got a job offer in California. It looked like alignment. It smelled like purpose. Deep down? I had a nagging feeling. Something didn’t add up.
I ignored it. Again.
That opportunity turned out to be laced with manipulation. It was never about me. It was about control, about ego, about someone else’s agenda. That’s when the final crack hit.
I moved to Florida after that. Built a life. Ran businesses. Even that life felt like a remix of the past. It looked better on paper, however energetically? Same suit, different tailor.
So I let it all blow up. I walked away.
Not out of defeat… Out of liberation.
That’s when this seer became The Liberated Oracle.
What Flow Really Feels Like
When I finally let go of who I thought I should be, I met who I really was. Not the polished version. Not the edited-for-approval version. The raw, real, seer-of-truth version.
I followed a vision. A gut feeling. A soul knowing that told me, “Go. All will be fine. This is where you come into your power.”
And it was right.
Since then, I’ve moved differently. Spoken differently. Shown up differently. I don’t push anymore—I flow. That doesn’t mean I don’t act. It means I act from alignment, not obligation.
It means I trust the nudge, even if it doesn’t come with a 5-year business plan. It means I follow the yes even if it scares the hell out of me. It means I don’t silence myself just to keep others comfortable.
You Have This Power, Too
If you’re reading this, it’s because some part of you knows there’s a current waiting for you to step into.
Maybe you’ve been in a life that doesn’t fit.
Maybe you’ve dimmed to survive.
Maybe you’ve made yourself small to stay safe.
However, your intuition is still there. It hasn’t given up on you.
You don’t have to blow up your life overnight. You don’t have to walk out the door with crystals and incense screaming “I’m free!” (unless you want to).
You just have to start listening… To the feelings… To the signs… To the part of you that says, “This isn’t it,” and also, “This could be.”
My Final Thoughts… Flow Is a Choice
Going with the flow isn’t about being passive.
It’s about being present.
It’s about being willing to trust your gut even when it leads you somewhere uncomfortable.
It’s about letting go of control so you can finally steer with clarity.
Your soul already knows the path.
Your intuition is already speaking.
The only question is…
Are you willing to let go, listen and flow with it?
